Cass and Stu - An intimate mountains wedding

Updated: Aug 1, 2022

Cass and Stu's wedding was hands down one of my all time favourite weddings to capture!

Held at the stunning Dry Ridge Estate winery in Megalong Valley - this intimate wedding was the perfect mix of all the things that just work so well.

Firstly, the venue has two beautiful homesteads where you and your partner can get ready while looking out over the mountains and vineyards. Big win! This makes the getting ready process so smooth. Cass could literally step from her homestead and straight down the aisle.

The pair chose to keep it intimate and low key, with Stu's twin brother Phil and Cass's sister Charlotte backing them up in their bridal party. And of course - little Otis, their very handsome little pug. With approximately 60 guests, it was the perfect way to honour their connection whilst still getting time to connect intimately with ALL of their guests.

The styling by Penny Lane Studio was pink and red perfection! Modern. Sleek. Bold. Elegant.

We love a couple who give a simple brief and then let their vendors lead with their creative energy. Cass gave her invitations to her florist (Blue Mountains Floral Design), as a basic colour scheme to stick to, and let Trish run wild with the rest.

Talk about a magical back-drop to profess your life-long love to some-one! A beautiful blue haze enveloped the valley, and as they read their vows, the thunder rolled through and the wind picked up. We watched the sky nervously, waiting for a down-pour at any second.

Once the 'I do's' were done, the guests bee-lined to the My Little Peony drinks van for strawberry caprioscas and mojitos while we ran into the vineyards for some fun. Sam Battin Films was on the video work - and boy does he know how capture the vibe! We were dancing, running, jumping on shoulders, chasing cows and just generally having a fucking ball!!

Safe to say, the dance-floor didn't disappoint. It kicked off with a bang when Cass and Stu made their entrance and forced all their guests up to dance with them - and the fun didn't stop all night.

All the amazing vendors that made this day complete:

Make-up artist: Amanda McIntyre Makeup

Drinks Caravan: My Little Peony

Videography: Sam Battin Films

Caterers: Hangree Catering

Dog minders: Wedding Paws
